Workaholiday
Yes, I have been blogging more than usual this week and here’s why: we took a little workaholiday. Yep, that’s where we take the kids for holiday and try to get a whole lot of work done at the same time.
Good thing we have a BIG GOD who’s smarter than us and knew we were no good to Him in our tired condition, so He blew on our big work plans and forced us to sleep and wake and enjoy His world with our kids for a week.
(Our kids teacher, Kat -who we miss very much by the way, went on vacation and is visiting her family, so we had the kids and no school and decided we do something wonderful with this opportunity. We love you Kat!)
We did get some work done but here were some of the weeks highlights: beach and more beach in Mexico, Evan boogie-boarded for the first time, Ella too, Emmer let daddy dig him a big hole in the sand every day so he could jump in and out over and again and sit in it to his heart’s content, watched tons of animal documentaries –but especially the “Crocodile Hunter”, read stories, slept a lot, took some naps, went to bed early, had sister Danni, her husband Duane and two kids (baby girl Desiree and Trei) visit us for the afternoon, Grandma came and stayed and played with us, we also enjoyed Michelle, Paula and Cassie’s company for some fun times, Dulcy has been with us having fun with the kiddos making us laugh and just being awesome, good old Mexican food was enjoyed, lots of popsicles, caught some rays, had some walks, jogs, talks, missed friends, read, and read and read… and a little bit of work. All in a week.
Thanks for letting us partake of your Workaholiday! We had a fun time, the food was good the comany even better, Trei had sooo much fun with his cousins!!!
