10 commandments, can we really keep them?

Thanks to Mike’s post commenting on the 10 commandments of web design, I have decided I can keep commandment number 1 that is “Thou Shalt Have Purpose”. And as Mike comments: Think about a blog. Everybody’s got one these days. There are some that have very low expectations, eg: “This is just a site where I’ll post pics of my kids from time to time and maybe say ‘hi’”. There are others that, if the author doesn’t post something at least every other day, we’ll all scream “delinquent blogger!” Usually how the site is defined in the beginning sets an expectation that is either met or not met and will contribute to the sites’ subsequent success or failure.

I don’t mean to break the rest, but since I didn’t make this site and I haven’t the foggiest how to tweak it to comply with all the other great commandments, I feel that I have reached Mount Sinai and met the 10 commandments, yet now I must turn back and wander another set of years… until someday I learn enough to understand and keep them.
