We still can

Thank you guys so much for commenting and for your love and heartfelt encouragement. Means the world to me… I never thought this would be encouraging, I only hoped it wouldn’t be depressing.

I was scrolling through my ipod for some songs to listen to tonight and I came across this one. I haven’t heard it in forever, though I used to sing it all the time and it brings back really good memories, especially of late nights witnessing at Harvard square in Boston, Mass. And in Houston, Texas. I used to be able to play it on the guitar and sing the words, though I remember I couldn’t ever sing it without getting all choked up. Those were simple days when souls were my business, mankind was my business. I don’t think I lived for much else or cared for much else but to bring hearts and lives to know Jesus like I knew Him, and to feel life and joy the way He made me feel it.

… It was a lot of time and a long journey from that “simplicity in Christ”, and it’s been a long way back. Seems like it’s taken forever, but I do think I’m coming nearer to it again.  

Ah, right! –The song! I don’t know when I stopped believing these words or how I got so cynical and depressed, striving, stressed. Faith is a choice. –I choose!
