Update on Trei, an email from Danni

Hi everyone, Thanks for your prayers for Trei.

 We were able to take him home last nite after having spent 24 hours in the Hospital. They Put him “out” Tuesday morning so they would be able to “Set” his leg and get a cast on him. It starts right under his nipples and goes all the way across his pelvis/hips and down to his ankle on the left side and half way down his right thigh as well! With a space for him to go Potty!

He was a very brave boy and learned what instruments hurt and which ones don’t hurt that the doctors cary around and when they would come in to check his “Vitals” he would ask for the ones that didn’t hurt and woudl tell them “Don’t touch me” when they would use the others! He says to everyone, “I have a BIG OWIE, I fell down and need to get better”, He is still in alot of pain and we have to lift him to move him as he can not apply any pressure at all or stand for the duration the cast is on so he screams every time we do it! They sent us home with a mixture of Tylenol and Codeine for the pain!

The Orthopedic Surgeon told us he would be coming back weekly for Xrays and that he would be able to take off his cast at the very earliest 1 month but more realisticly 1 1/2 to 2 months. So its gonna be a long haul. PLease do continue to keep him in your prayers cause as you all know 3 year old boys are VERY ACTIVE and having him this restricted is going to be tough on him! We will let you know how things progress and do appreciate the prayers! We are also praying for all of you as we heard everyone is pretty sick!
