Katrina and Patricia visit

Darren’s sisters Katrina and Patricia, along with their friend Sarah, visited from Australia and stayed with us a few weeks. They came to go to Wordstock. They are the nicest girls, sweet and kind and helpful. I think they’re also extremely brave travelers. Seemed confident and casual on what is their first trip alone -and to the other side of the world to visit us. They are definitely good travelers and happy campers. We enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them.

Before they left they helped clean the house in Fallbrook which we’d just moved out of. So sweet of them. Thanks Kat and Patty, and thanks Sarah!

Breakfast brunch on the cliffs by the beautiful Baja beach. Cheap food and huge plates!

Darren had the girls try all sorts of Mexican dishes including mole chicken and flan, etc. Some they liked, some they…. didn’t ask for seconds on. But they were brave about it all and took it all in stride. (Older brothers, I tell ya!)

We also ate at Tacos El Yaqui. A great taco shop here. Probably the best in Rosarito. Emmer did not like the fact that it was called “Tacos el yucky”. “I’m not eating yucky tacos, mommy, they are yummy tacos!” That was pretty final. He insisted that we call it “Tacos Yummy”! So “Tacos El Yummy” it is.
