Princess Pennysaver

We’re in our van driving up to the US and I’m making a shopping list out loud because I don’t have paper and a pen on me; 

 “Kids don’t let me forget to get these things.”  

I add new panties for Ella to the shopping list.  

A little while later Ella says,

“Mommy, can you sew my panties? They have a hole in them.”  

“Well, umm, that’s why I put new panties for you on the shopping list. I think we’ll just throw them away and buy new ones.”  I reply.  

Ella responds in a sweet voice ,

“And is God okay with that?”  

I shall not wonder if I have taught my children frugality.
