Pilgrimage

Evie and I crossed a new bridge today: We went for our first walk together. While Daddy was at Sea World with the big kids we turned our eyes towards Mecca: Starbucks! No, not all roads lead there, but all GOOD ONES do!

It was a good walk. Evie was a wonderful girl (as she always is) until the last crosswalk when a bus drove by and kicked grimy dirt up into her eyes and face. Poor baby! After cleaning her off with my nice soft new fleece scarf that the kids gave me for Christmas, she was okay for the coffee break and the trip home. We’re off to Big Bear tomorrow! Pray for us to have a safe drive on those windy mountain roads.
