Evie updates her act
Darren’s gone for a week at a CCR seminar and despite my spontaneous “breakfast in the living room” attempt to make mornings with mom fun for the kids, Evan blurted out this morning: “Our room is so lonely without daddy. –He’s always there.”
I was away last week, and when I returned I found a very fat 10 month old baby girl who is also crawling. I wouldn’t have recognized her for her chubbiness if she wasn’t the only bald, little white baby with blue eyes in the house.
Before I left, Evie had been undecided on the crawling issue. Should she? Or could she just get by with the bottom-scoot move she had down until it was time to walk? I guess she decided crawling was a good stop-gap after all. Of course my bedroom and living room have suddenly turned in to a perilous adventure-land. I’ve gotta step up my pace and be faster than she is to spy the next “cool thing” lying around.
