Miami
It was interesting. A little hot. A little humid. A few mosquitoes. But interesting.
I didn’t really get to see much of Miami itself. I flew in, attended some good meetings, and flew back home. I did enjoy the stories about Miami (and mainly the list of beaches “you don’t want to go” to and sites “you don’t want to see”) that I heard from the locals. I got the impression I didn’t miss much.
The highlight of the trip was seeing Jer (okay, ONE of the highlights, so as to not give him too much glory, and of course he was one of the great story-tellers I mentioned). Jer invited me to a fun game of scrabble, during which he stunned me by actually teaching me a new word! -Thanks Jer, haven’t used it yet, but I’m waiting for the opportune time
Here’re some blessings I’m counting: I love my work. I have some really great co-workers new and old. (They are also my friends.) I got to know some, and some better than before.
I enjoyed the travel and the stay. But I’m also very blessed in that wherever I go I’m always very happy to return home again. I’m realizing that says a lot about the Lord’s sweet gifts and blessings in my life.
The highlight huh?
Snazzy.
I blogged about this.
