Shock and Awe!!

I’M POSTING!

Well, you know, it’s only cuz THEY keep asking me…

“When are you going to post something new on your blog?”

Who’s THEY? Who asks? Well, like, everyone really. (Okay I’m exaggerating. Maybe just a few, but that’s enuf to bug me into it!)

I keep answering “Today!” But I don’t. I probably won’t even post tomorrow either.

Yep, this blog has been dead. VERY dead. For MANY days now.

Well I blame it all on Anaik. :-) Yep, yep, she’s the one who taunted that we were raising the bar for low-commitment bloggers. Uhuh. “I’d better conform.” I thought.

Riiiight.

Actually, Ana, it’s not your fault.

I take the blame. I keep telling myself “I’ll blog when I have something to say.” But those who know me know that I never don’t have something to say. So that won’t work either. And you all won’t let me take the blame like that. At least not for that reason. Nope. You’re all thinking I’d need to cough up a better reason than that.

Lemme see if I can think of a reason to pin the blame on Darren. Hmmm…. (me thinking hard) Now, it’s not usually difficult for me to think of some reason, no matter how lame, to lay the blame on the man. But, nope, not for this one. Not him, not his fault, not since he wasn’t really sure if he wanted me to start this blog of ours anyway.

Bhoo! Right? Well he had his reasons. The main one really, was thinking it might in some way, at some time, have a reducing affect on a certain area of our life. -Which research and studies have somehow indicated is supposed to remain at/around a healthy 2%. Yeah, right. Well, I’ll stop short of bragging, but seriously, if it really was only 2% I’d understand the man. But since… well, (stopping short again)… I just thot, comon’ breaking for a little blogging now and then might be okay. I thought I could argue that one. But instead, I respectfully acknowledged the issue at hand :-) It’s a cool relationship tip. I think I may have actually learned it from him. But anyway…

After Darren made peace with that, he unveiled his feelings that I will probably end up “just writing large, exaggerated stories” about him. I couldn’t much comfort him there.

My answer was what it has always been: “Honey, I claim artistic license! Just think of me as an artist.” –Of the story-telling variety.

I love story telling. And sometimes the tale’s just got to be told a bit bigger than it was. (Only when not in any way malicious or hurtful to any party of course! I really don’t like it when people do that.) I also always maintain that people have GOT to be able to tell what and when and where one story-teller is exaggerating, and the story-teller must confirm that suspicion when asked (better yet, regularly volunteer that information! –That’s the true sign of values in any great exaggerating-story-teller!)

Yeah, pretty much, you have to do that. Or it’s all no good.

So, today, yes today, I’m posting this, though I admit, I’m not really saying much here. But TOMORROW, yes, tomorrow, I will blog! And I’ll do it decently.

Don’t everyone like DIE of shock n awe. K?
