Loving it!
Last year, same time, same place, Ella was scared of the beach and freaked of the sand. This year it’s all fun and games! Sancastles, getting burried, the works. Only the water is a litle too cold to swim in. Twas fun playing chase with the waves today though. So glad the kids are outdoors and loving it.
Evan in particular has become quite a nature-lover. This morning Evan woke up and walked to the sun room upstairs at the beach house we’re staying in. There’s a surreal view of the beach from the windows there. Evan walked in and began to open the windows, when I asked him what he was doing; “I’d like to hear the sounds of the ocean, Mom. It’s like, so, beautiful to me.”
We’re so close to the sand and waves. You can smell the sea and hear it. You wake and sleep to it here.
Evan was also thrilled about our stay last week at Ado’s place back in Texas. We stayed in a log cabin and the kids freely roamed the woods there where there were also free dear and rabits, squirrels and just raw nature. The Home also has goats and cats. It was such a treat to be there. They got so much oxygyen and exercise that they slept really well every nap and crashed out every night.
Evan would stay in bed watching from the window right there by it to wait for the sun to rise. Then he and Ella (5 and 3 years) would wake up early and go out on the wood deck of the cabin and read their Bibles. Evan said it was “the most beautiful place to read your Bible”. Later he asked Daddy if we could “live here forever”.
I’m really starting to pray earnestly that the next Home the Lord gives us will be one with lots of space, nature and peace like that for the kids to grow up in. They seem to really thrive with wide open spaces and the serenity of nature.
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.”
Oh yeah! That’s my prayer too (a home surrounded by nature)! Nice pics. GBY!
