What can we say but…
The Lord is so good to us. We’ve had a busy year, it’s really been incredible how busy. All of you, our loved ones, know exactly what we mean and have said the same about this year and what it’s been to you.
2005 is almost over, but it will never be forgotten.
We never would have imagined that it would have been possible for us to take any time off this year, and it was looking more and more definite that any ideas of that sort would be unrealistic and completely out of the question.
But then this opportunity came, like a little window we had a to run and jump through if we really wanted it. After praying about it, we realized, “you know, we don’t think we can do this, but we really, really need this.” So we went for it.
… long fast run, pause… big jump through small tiny window, and viola, here we are on the beach in Mexico.
It’s been so much fun, and such a gift straight from the One whose love for us we feel so strongly at this moment. Every sunrise is welcome. Every sunset is like a sweet kiss. Every cheery voice, story, trial, “ouwie”, or great idea our kids share with us right now are treasures.
And then there are the sweet friends, the good times, and the great tacos, etc. etc. 
It’s certainly a time when being thankful comes easy, for sure, and blessing to count are many. But it’s also a time when saying “thank You” is all that is appropriate.

Definitely a well deserved break for you two, glad to hear you are enjoying it. There’s just something about being able to step back and take a breather, it tends to put things into perspective. — Then the tree truly becomes part of the forest.
