Be corky.

Tranquilize Me

Ange and I got the time tonight to talk while sunken in a huge black bean-bag-for-two (so fair!) finally making up for years flown by.
You know, we’ve been friends since since 12 years ago and she is one person who I am more amazed by every year: remaining beautiful, connected to the Lord, pure in spirit through the storms of life. Ange, the gifts of faith, endurance, and perspective are yours. Thanks for being my friend. I’m praying for yours and Kyle’s year ahead.
I loved your just-posted poem Ange, and this one I post for you. It really does need some music (and, ok, some Vas-screaming) to go with it.

TRANQUILIZE ME

Running, racing against the day’s pace
Trying, fighting, to keep up in the race
Spinning not winning. Losing the day
God I need you to tranquilize me

Almathor, I open the door. Heal me.
Sweet elixir from your breast
Bring me rest
With your mist and rain
Ease the busy pain
Fill the need
Tranquilize me

Jesus, My God, to You I make love
Loosing my soul into the harbor of Your Storm
Claiming nuptial rights I make my peace
There for where I am Yours
Tranquilize me

Before the day’s a waste,
I take You in, slow my pace,
My mind escapes into Yours. They embrace
My God, My Love, My Passion strong
Tranquilize me

Breakthrough Shadow’s way, pierce Depression’s day
Lucerne, enlighten my core
Dance in my mind and play
Take Satan’s place
Light the race
Tranquilize me

Like a high-strung steed I speed
Chasing the accomplishment need
When my addiction is strong
To Freedom I long,
I’ll ride not run. I’ll be weak not strong
Ride Eleria till I’m free, Spirit, with Thee
Tranquilize me

It moved me so much. I love it! I’m so glad you’re back Claire. You and me.

That’s a beautiful poem/prayer Claire, very inspired! Although I’d have to admit that my heartcry nowadays would be more along the lines of “Caffeinate me…” :)

Nice Claire. I didn’t know that you wrote poetry. See it’s good to read home members blogs, you see a different side of them. Love you.
