Happy 4th Birthday to our beautiful Ella!
It’s Ella’s birthday. She turned 4 yesterday! YaY!
We were blessed to be able to come down to the beach here in Mexico. This is the greatest fun for Ella. She loves it here.
Auntie Amy came with us and she took the kids out on the beach this morning for play time. We had ice cream and gave Ella a bathing suit and sand toys. Darren took the kids out again to the beach in the afternoon and let me go get a cheap haircut with the girls (paula and nyna). So sweet of him and Phil to keep the kiddos for us.
Phil and Paula also came down with us for the weekend so Ella would have a friend -Kaylee, to play with. Kat and Cole, who’s birthday it also is (he and Ella have the same birthday ‘cept he’s turning 5, and this is the second time celebrating it together). Rich came along with his two boys Alvin and Kenny so Cole and Evan have friends to play with.
It’s a great crowd and it’s been fun. The Lord really knows how to shower His children with blessings. (Hey Lord, on behalf of us and the kids, Thank You!)
I’m following this new mantra that I’ve decided is IT for our family’s birthday’s: Making it about what we DO for birthday’s rather than what we GET. In other words all about making it more about what we do together and what fun we plan to have as a family than what gifts are bought and given. I’m hoping the kids will look forward to some fun and adventure and some special time spent together every year on their birthdays rather than just what presents they get. It seems it’s already working.
